Tonight for Family home evening Brandon gave a lesson on The true meaning of Christmas and the importance of celebrating Jesus' birth. Also about giving and not expecting so much. It was a really good reminder and lesson for all of us.
After our lesson we wrote letters to Santa!
Averie told me exactly what to write in her letter, she was being so serious it was cute!
Next, we made a Ginger bread house!
just getting started...
Kaylie ate more candy then she actually put on the house!
working together...
All done! They were so proud, while decorating Averie kept saying "This little house sure looks cute, I'm so proud of it!"
We had a great night, and I'm so glad that Brandon was able to join us for FHE this week!

Very nice. Very fun. We do the ginger bread house as well and 95% of the candy goes into my kids' mouths than on the house itself. We've learned if we want a decently decorated house......to buy a lot of extra candy.... :o)
What a great FHE! I LOVE the ginger bread house! (Those kits sure make it really easy.)
That looked like such a fun night. I loved the letters to Santa, so very sweet.
