HAPPY NEW YEAR 2009!

Happy New Year!
This year we decided to go to the New Year celebration at the Provo Mall. It was geared mostly towards kids and the best part was that it was indoors!
Averie started with getting a "tattoo"

I have to mention that most of the pic's are of Averie, it was great for her age group but Kaylie was still kind of young for most of the activities.
Brandon and Averie had so much fun together playing the games. They won this one!

There was a station where you could fill tubes with powdered candy
I think most adults loved this as much as the kids did.
All done...
We enjoyed lots of different entertainment such as...
Acrobatic shows
Juggling acts
A magic show and singing performances from different people such as David Osmand.
The girls were able to get there faces painted.

Averie won a raffle drawing and got this big sucker and a movie ticket
We enjoyed two firework shows one was at 9:00 pm for all the kids which was really nice because after that Brandon's mom was kind enough to take the girls home and put them to bed while Brandon and I stayed for some more entertainment and to watch the "ball drop"
Happy New Year 2009 everyone!

That looked so fun! Next year we will have to go! I saw the fireworks last night and wondered where they were at!

We were planning on going for the performances. Tatyana was supposed to perform with her Capoeira group, but she wasn't feeling so good... We visited my parents for a couple of hour, that's it... I'm glad you guys had fun!
Happy New Year!

Looks like Averie had lots of fun. Your girls are so stinkin' cute! Glad you got to spend New Years's Eve with Brandon.

How fun! We've gone in the past to First Night at the mall and they really do do a good job catering to the kids. Too many sickies this year so we stayed home and partied here.

Happy New Year Nixon's.

I was so glad to see your post! I watched both fireworks out our back window and wondered if it was at the mall and kid friendly. It looks like fabulous fun and maybe we will have to try to do it next year. Brandon is such a nice daddy and what a wonderful Grandma to take the girls home and let you stay!
