At about 7:30 or so I roll out of bed, not because I want to but because that is what time my body naturally wakes up. I then have a couple of hours to myself to get on the internet, unload the dishwasher and then cook the girls a good breakfast just in time for them to wake up at about 10:00 am. After breakfast we take baths and get ready for the day...
Next we sing a few songs, read a few books and practice 2 numbers and 2 letters. By this time it's time for lunch which I try really hard to make them a healthy lunch and stay away from Roman and too much mac and cheese. After lunch I send the girls outside to play for about an hour so I can read or bake something or sometimes I go out and play with them. If it's to hot to play outside they just get out the toys and play inside and when they play inside I usually put on a movie for them. At 2:00 it's nap time! No if's, and's or but's!!! Lately I've been taking a nap with the girls because I'm always so tired but most of the time I try to be productive during this sacred 2 or 3 hours! After naps, the girls are ready for a snack... string cheese and fruit is always a favorite. After snacks we have cleaning hour and we start in my room and make our way through the house ending in the living room. I do this every day and it helps keep my house clean and organized just the way I like it! Kaylie is obviously to young to help with anything so she follows us around and we give her little toys and tell her where they go and she giggles and laughs and feels like she is such a big girl. Averie on the other hand is a HUGE help to me... When we go from room to room I give her a few little things to do in each room and I time her, and pay her a penny a chore. She loves it and works hard so that she can earn money for her penny bank. As soon as she learns the concept of money though I'm going to be broke! After cleaning hour is done we relax by watching a movie, playing outside or going on a walk. Then it's time for me to prepare dinner. Usually while I'm preparing dinner, Kaylie is taking a little cat nap and Averie is playing with her toys... I always take the time to prepare a good healthy meal for my family with lots of veggies! After dinner we just enjoy winding down from the day by playing a game, reading, or watching TV. Then it's bedtime!
So there you have it a typical day at the Nixon's... of corse there is one day a week that it changes up a little when I need to go grocery shopping and run errands.

Wow your the luckiest mom I know. Caden goes to bed at 9 and he is up anywhere from 5 to 7. When he sleeps in he wakes up at 7:30. Sounds like you have a fun day. I cant wait for Caden to help with the cleaning up of the house. He goes behind us and messes it up again.
Okay this is depressing.......all of you ladies are too organized, have too much energy, and are too healthy.....talk about feeling like a putz. I am SO not blogging what a typical day is like around here.....I'll terrify all of you. :o) Going to go and pick my toes now in my closet......
I remember those days - mother of little ones. What a full day you put in, even in the first three hours!
